Wouldn't it be great to have an Otaku President?
In Japan, the previous Prime Minister considered himself an Otaku! ^-^
Taro Aso was the previous Prime Minister of
Japan.
He is quoted on saying that manga could become Japan's bridge to the world!
Thousands upon thousands of people in the USA go to anime conventions every year.
What attracts so many people to this Japanese artform?
Manga and anime are representations of the essence of the Japanese people. Other than cool fight scenes and girls of moe, the importance concepts of Friendship, Effort, Victory, and others like caring and harmony come to mind.
As a self-proclaimed otaku, I support anime and manga.
I too think that it's a bridge from Japan to the world. To think, that three students in America would band together to make a blog called the Otaku Reviewers and review anime, manga, music, and video games... And there are many other enthusiasts in America.
The idealism, positivity, courage and optimism in manga is what bridges nations. I know I feel indebted to such a great nation for a truly great artform!

Please keep Japan in your thoughts and prayers!
So far about 98,562 people have donated over $6,067,116 in American aid to Japan!
I agree,hmm.. it would be a lot of fun! ^^
ReplyDeleteIs he really holding that (Haruhi) manga? or its just photoshoped?
Yeah it would ^^
ReplyDeleteThat picture was shopped :(
But there are numerous accounts of Taro reading manga at the airport. They say is favorite is Rozen Maiden lol but I don't know if it's true.
